| There is lots of work in western Canada (Alberta/ B.C)). Contact the nearest Canadian embassy or consulate (they will have services in English and French). There are programs for those wanting to come for a year or so to work in various industries. Many Europeans come and work in the hospitality industry in the areas of the Rocky Mountain national parks (Banff, Jasper, etc.) The hotels have gardening staff in summer and need flexible workers depending if it is the summer tourist season or the ski season. Some resorts subsidize or provide accomodation and, of course, as in France you are covered by government Health Care and other social services. The local language in Western Canada is English but French speakers get extra consideration when applying for work in Canada and added 'points' if you decide to stay after your visit. |
