Great gardens in Minnesota?

Posted by gcorman (My Page) on

Hi.

I'm a landscape designer in Arizona. I'm going to the Minneapolis area in July and would like to visit some great public and private gardens there.

I'd love to get some recommendations and contacts for visiting the gardens there -- like garden clubs, garden tour groups, etc.

Thank you.

Greg

Greg:

first of all, bring your mosquito repellent! Then, enjoy the gardens.

Noerenberg Gardens in Minneapolis is one of the finest public gardens in the Twin Cities area. A must see is the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum.

Sculpture Garden near the Guthrie theatre . . .
the private gardens of the St Paul Hotel in downtown St Paul are small but beautiful . . .

there are also great garden centers to visit here. In Minneapolis there is Bachmans flagship store on Lyndale Avenue, Tangletown Gardens and Uncommon Gardens north of Bachmans. Also, farther north is Otten Bros and Kelley & Kelley. In St Paul, you should visit Gertens and Linders.

just a little bit of what there is to see . . .
