| Just wondering if anyone has any experience with this Japanese False cypress 'Sungold' in parking lot situations. We are in a public park in St. Louis and our hardiness zone is in between 5 and 6. The parking lot is not too terribly big. The planting site in question is a large bed surrounded on all sides by sidewalks. The parking lot never feels excessively hot like a huge box store lot does in the middle of summer. I am concerned about possible leaf scorch if I plant in this full sun site so if anyone has any experience with the cultivar or species in urban sites let me know. Water is not a problem. Thanks! |

| The main concern would be IF a car will park with the front end (of the car) rests over the plant... the heat from the radiator/engine will harm the plant. otherwise no problem. |
