Hanging Tuberous Begonia baskets

Ive been growing 10" Non Stop and Illumination baskets for 20 years. They are very nice baskets, and Iam happy with the 16" combo Begonia moss baskets. But the 10" don't have the WOW factor to me . So I am asking for little help on picking a new type of begonia for the baskets or a secret to get the 10" really cranked . Ive read the American Hybrid is the type to use but I have not been able find good pictures or info on them .If you are a grower you know what I mean it has to be perfect . Thanks Upnortdareh

I did some nice orange illumination baskets last year, but wouldn't even consider them in a ten inch size. It just wouldn't do them justice.

This is a twelve inch basket of them I just unpotted and plopped into a larger urn. How did yours look in relation to this one? Better? Same? I found them perfectly acceptable and everyone who walked into the g'house wanted one. No special cultural, other than they like plenty of moisture in between drying out and ample space for their rootballs.

Calliope---------Very nice basket I would say our 16" moss baskets are close to your basket. Probably the 10" is not the right container for the Illumination series. The Non Stop series just doesn't do it for me anymore . I tried some Dummen begonias a while back and I wasn't real thrilled about them .I guess Iam looking for a series that is double-- semi upright. Years ago there was a grower that had a semi upright variety but I think they were bulbs, and he is long gone. So-- Thanks for the info. Upnortdareh

The market has switched over from big to smaller floriferous blooming begonias from Bolivia.
Easy to grow and long lasting.
What's up with scented big blooming begonias?
Are they scentsational?

But...the question is...are they doing it for the customers? I grow a lot of things I don't even LIKE...but they sell. If it's not broken and they're selling well, then don't fix it, if you know what I mean.
