Concrete fill in a planting bed - Problems?

I have a project where I want to turn an old concrete pond into a planting bed. the pond is 18' wide and tapers down to about 2 1/2 feet deep in the center. Since this is an urban situation I have the problem of moving a LARGE amount of soil into the site thru a building.

I would like to demo the bottom of the pond and use the concrete rubble to "take up some space" before I move in about 10 yards of soil. Is this advisable? I know it will affect the ph. The pond is about 50 years old. I am planning to plant the entire area, about 200 sq ft with hostas. I will have at lease 2' of soil covering the concrete rubble.

Is this a doable project? how should I attack it?
