Are these containers safe to collect rainwater

I have a local place here where I can purchase 250 gallon containers. I would like to catch rainwater to water my shade trees. The containers had Morcryl 132 resin solution in them are they safe to be using? I tried posting this else where and got the dead page notice. So I hope someone can help me here.

Randy....make every effort to contact the manufacturer regarding your question. This is a Dow product.....all kinds of information and phone numbers on assorted websites. 1.800.232.2436 is listed as a customer service number.

Be SURE to mention that your question lies in the reuse of these jugs for water storage. That might get their attention.

If the bottles are labeled, there might be container disposal information on them. Also, the company who purchased the product will have MSDS (material safety data sheets) on hand and will be able to answer questions regarding the safe reuse of the containers.

I would never, ever use these containers without the full approval of the manufacturer.
