Should I remove the flowers on my blueberry cuttings?

I have successfully rooted blueberry cuttings over the spring and summer however I'm trying it now in the winter.

The cuttings have started to put out little flower buds which are close to opening. Should I cut those off to try and save some energy for the plant so that it can focus more on leaf production?

Also will it even work to try making cuttings over the winter?

Absolutely remove the flower buds. I have better luck with thicker cuttings but who knows.

Great. I'll cut all the flower buds off and let the leaves stay on to hopefully get some photosynthesis going to gain energy and start putting down some roots.

Old textbooks said that flowers and roots compete for auxins, are use auxins that compete or some such. Anyhow, remove flowers when rooting if you cannot get cuttings with no flowers.
