Blueberries cuttings in WI

I am looking at propagating some Blueberry cuttings. Where I live, they would be ready to go into the ground by April.

When should I start trying to get them to root, and not have them break dormancy too early?

air/soil temperature should be in the 40F range. apply rooting hormone to each cutting. stick in well drained, damp soil. or......................
start the rooting process the fiirst of March
