Another photo so the problem can be seen at a different angle. Some annoying soil / fungus gnats have chosen my plants as a home! Is there a good method for getting rid of these pests? Sorry for so many questions, I really would love for these plants to live

Well, i started to get worried so i started stripping the leaves back, as i could see these dead leaves being a fungus problem.
This whole issue started i believe because i didn't take the plants that were sent to me out of their newspaper wrapping for such a long while.
Under the dead parts was fresh plant, but with fungus - so i swabbed scissors with alcohol and cut away anything rotten. in one plant that was all the way to the bottom of the leaf base! On another i accidentally broke the root off, and then saw part of that was rotten too. One other still had the main root in one piece and i think this one will survive best. I sprayed where i had cut with Hydrogen Peroxide, later rinsed this off and then sprinkled with Cinnamon, before repotting in clean pots with fresh orchid bark mix; somewhat moist.
I did put a little water in the "cup" as i have read on a post i should.
Now it's just a matter of seeing if any of them survive.
