Hi, robbed a healthy looking rhizome from my dormant mandevilla I'm overwintering in cool basement. I potted it up in regular potting soil and am wondering if there is a chance it will shoot any growth, and if so, what I need to do to encourage it. It is full of fine hair roots and the plant I took it from has small green signs of new leaf growth, so anybody have any ideas on this? Need heat? Or is this just wishful thinking?
