Asian Pear Cuttings

Hi, I'm new to the site. I have obtained some 8 inch cuttings from my neighbor's Asian pears (Chujoro and Large Korean) and I was wondering what is the best way to root them. I have already shaved off the bark 1/2 way up, and applied rooting hormone. I put them in a pot with moist compost about a week ago, and put a plastic bag over them. I have searched the web, and could not find any site dealing with Asian Pears.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use cuttings taken in June (3-6" long). remove all but tip leaf. Do not remove bark. apply 0.8% IBA (rooting hormone ("dip & Grow) stick in well drained soil & mist.
