this spring I plan on planting white clover and red clover. I have been reading up on using an inoculant, but I don't get it. how do you fling wet seeds out of a seed spreader? I'm missing something. anybody ever actually do this? thanks.

The seeds don't have to be wetted. You can purchase pre-inoculated seeds, or inoculants mixed with amendments (like peat) to act a carriers, or even with an adhesive which will help it stick to the seed. Just do some shopping around.

If you have any native legumes you probably
wont need that. We have white clover growing
ferally as well as burr clover. I threw wild
hairy vetch seed in my citrus beds and there
were no inoculants in the top 10 inches and
they grew fine.
