How to propagate a particular coleusl

I have found a coleus that I particlarly like. It is a light green and dark green with jaggedy edges. I simply cannot get this plant to propagate. I have tried taking cuttings and rooting them in water, and I have tried putting them in soil. I have not had any luck. Right now, I took one long branch and buried part of it while it was on the mother plant. I weighted that particular part down with a stone and am hoping it will take root. Does anyone have a clue as to how I could do this? Coleus are usually easy to root in water, bu not this fellow!. Thanks for any help. - Barb
