Yucca Filamentosa 'root cuttings'- Info Please

Hello,

Can someone tell me details of propagation for yucca root cuttings? Such as: size and length of root needed? Depth in the soil, horizontal or vertical?

Or, can you take stem or leaf cuttings? Not sure how to go about this since I've never grown yucca filamentosa before.

"Pups" small plants will grow around the base of the plant in fall seporate then & transplant. as for root cuttings normally about the diameter of a pencile & 4+ inches long. placed horzontal & barely coverd with soil.

Hi George,
Thanks for your reply. In your opinion, do you think the cuttings would produce plants that could be set out in the garden this late spring? Or would I be better off just purchasing the plants. Guess I'm trying to get by cheap.
