a couple weeks ago i brought in a bunch of cuttings from a variety of shrubs ... after getting them all set up in pots of moist 50/50 perlite & potting mix, i *tented* them with plastic with the intention of putting them back outside ...

but i didn't ... i kept them inside the house (on a heat mat) & i have been opening up the tent every day & spraying water...

question: should i have taken them back outside? ... i have been gardening for only 4 yrs. & i find propagating fascinating ... i have had good luck in spring, summer & fall ... but have never tried anything in the winter (tooooo cold & snowy here in the chicago burbs)

another thought: approximately a million or more slugs reside in our yard, so if i keep the pots in the house ... hmmmm ....
