I am new here so go easy on me please....
I have a 50 year old pear tree of a unknown name.
I had a state Ag person look at it took cuttings pictures of it and a fruit to Sacramento.
I got a answer back later it was a unknown pear apple.
This last year the tree got too heavy with fruit and fell over.
there is still roots attached and it is starting to break bud.
This tree grew to a easy 35 ft and has a truck of about 24 in across . It appears for the moment it will survive . how ever, I am offering graft rights to anyone that wants to propagate this tree, the fruits are huge average 1 to 2 lbs each and are shaped like a apple and flavor is good when ripe stays crunchy like a apple and here it has fruit till Nov.
I fear the total loss of this previously unknown Pear Apple.
This tree every year produced over 1,000 lbs of fruit. Very Fast growing and will need to be pruned to keep it reasonable in height . Please message me if you want end cuttings or are close to the Eureka Calif costal area and want to get some directly . Thank you
