Tri-lite (Peach x Japanese plum) Cutting SUCCESS!

Hello everyone!

Great news. Despite many sites and references stating how difficult it was to root peaches/nectarines; success. I was pruning my tri-lite tree late-January of this year and had some one year old semi-hardwoods left over. I thought, "what a shame to throw these nice pieces away. I should put some rooting hormone on it and stick it in a pot."

Now, nearly two months down the road, while watering the cutting I saw it began to sprout! You could imagine how ecstatic I became; kept my expectations low and it threw me a surprise!

I will not continue to monitor and take care of it. Updates will ensue, so keep posted. I have posted pictures for your viewing pleasure!

Please, if you have any advice on care taking from the point on or comments about the cutting; I would love to hear it!

Best,

Jeff
