Too early to divide evergreen perennials?

Like most gardeners, I'm getting antsy to get out and do something in the yard. It was nice the other day and decided to take a few divisions of various evergreen perennials, including achillea, cerastium, a few other groundcovers, and I'm eyeing some pulmonaria that I really don't want to lose. My reasoning (besides cabin fever) is, what the heck, I won't have to water them.

So....

Am I crazy?

Do you think they'll make it?

Has anyone else divided so early?

Thanks!

But trampsing on wet soil will damage the soil structure. I'd wait until the soil warms and dries a bit more even if you must water. If you get a hard frost it might set them back.
