Can Sweetshrub (Calycanthus) cuttings be easily rooted? If so how and is it best to take new or older growth? What time of year is the best to take cuttings? A couple of my neighbors really like this bush so I figured I'd root some for them if possible.

Best time to take cuttings July.... Cutting used firm new growth. apply 0.8% IBA (Rooting hormone) Stick in well drained soil & mist. Bottom heat helpful. taking 40-50 days to root.
