propagating persimmon with cutting.

i read same subject in this forum and finding that the results are very dismal.

however, they are breaking bud. i'm more used to rooting figs and with figs, bud breaking and new leaves coming out is a good sign even if there are no roots. roots will usually follow soon.

but with mulberries, i noticed that leaves coming out is not a such a good sign. the cutting will dry up before the roots come out.

what about persimmon? does bud breaking indicate that roots will follow soon? or cuttings drying up and dying?
