Perennial Sweet Pea

Will sweet pea vine cuttings root in water? I cut some this morning, but dont want to wait a week or so to find out!
Gardening makes me impatient!! (ha)

I don't know if they will root; my guess is they would. Though, I simply let my perennial sweet pea go to seed, and I get LOTS of volunteer seedlings.
