Fertilizing?

kittens

I propagated last year and have everything planted in rows in about a 10 foot section. A have a variety of items that took root with different requirements. I have everything from azalea to lilac planted in the same area. It's still cool here so the majority of things haven't even leafed out yet. I'm feeling this isn't the hobby for the impatient! I'd like to see more than just little sticks by fall. Can I help the growth rate with fertilization? Is there a general fertilizer to use like Miracle-Gro that would be beneficial to all in the Spring? What's the goal with a second year cutting, is it best to strive to develop more roots?

I was wondering fertilizing my Emerald Green Arbs, too. I planted them a few years ago from the nursery. I spaced them by the recommended guidelines and they seem to be taking forever to fluff out. They are healthy and growing tall just so slow. I was hoping they would have filled in by now. Is there anything I can do to help them along?
