Persimmon Propagation

Posted by vietzero (My Page) on

I have some japanese persimmon in my backyard that I would like to propagate. The plant seem to dry out too quickly to do a cut and root hormone propagation. The only method I know of is the grafting method. I don't like this method because you need to buy some root stock for it. Is there any other way to propagate it ??

RE: Persimmon Propagation

Check out air layering. If you google it you'll find lots of info.

RE: Persimmon Propagation

Air layers or if the tree produces fruit try to germinate seed.
