has anyone propragated any Thuja occidentalis 'Pumila Sudworth'arborvitae before.I was wondering if they were as easy to propragate as golden globe arborvitea
Yes as easy... mostly because this is when i have the nost bench space i take semihardwood cuttings (with a heel) Sept thru March. apply 0.3 to 0.8% IBA (rooting hormone) sitck in well drained soil kept damp not wet.... takes 60-150 days to root.
Hi Georgez5il Thanks for the info .I usually do golden globe arborvitae under intermittent mist in late summer and fall and put them in a cold frame over winter and pot them up in spring. Do you think that would work for the sudworth to? Thanks again Eddie
