I was wondering if you could tell me the procedure for propagating this plant and how difficult is it to propagate. Thanks so much.

I've had good results just digging some up by the roots and transplanting them. I watered them a little the first few weeks and they took off. Have now spread to cover a large area, mostly shaded. I did the transplanting in mid spring.

Thanks for your help! I just realized that leaves will fall all over where I planted the periwinkle..I normally let the leaves remain in the beds. But with the periwinkle will this be a problem. Will leaves kill the periwinkle during the cold winter months or will it be fine. Thanks so much.

I have periwinkle spreading through the woods around here/ If anything, the leaves protect it from the cold and makes it thrive. I wish fallen leaves killed it. I wish.

Periwinkle is considered an invasive plant here. It roots very readily by layering. Once a stem touches the ground, it pulls roots!
