Can someone tell me how to propagate summersweet? Is this the same thing as Clethra?

both the same.... Take a cuting of firm ner growth (june through Aug) apply 0.1% IBA (rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist taking 14 days to root.

Does it matter how long the cutting is? Should it be green wood then?
