Rainer sweet cherry tree

I planted a Rainer Sweet Cherry tree next to my house in my backyard. I take very good care of this tree. It is full with cherries. I would like to get a little hint on how I can develop a tree from one of its cuttings. If any one can help, I would be grateful. I live in Bowie, Maryland. Thank you.

There are several methods to propagate this tree. You can air-layer, take softwood cuttings, hardwood cuttings, etc or graft/bud the tree. Probably the best propagation method is one of the various grafting techniques. Locate some good rootstock that does well in your area, do a little research on how to graft/bud, and have fun with it. Be forewarned, though, you may become "hooked" and want to propagate as many trees as you can, just because you can....
