hi everyone, got these fantastic new plants this year called senetti.has anyone got any clues on the best way to increase your stock on these? the web site is www.senetti.info cheers mark
I have not had any luck propagating Pericallis spp.(Cineraria or Senetti hybrids) using cuttings etc. Since they are a hybrid the seed produced will not be "true". As of now get seed...... Do not cover the seed soil temp 70-75F & takes 10-14 days to germinate expect 24-28 weeks to flower...
i have finally had success at raising senetti cuttings!!!! i put them in a propagator with the lid off.i used rooting gel, kept them in shade & the compost moist-after 2 weeks i then placed them in the sun & they are growing extremely well.out of ten i only lost 2-so thats an 80% hit rate.
I have just purchased 3 of these plants and within hours of planting out I have a horrendous skin reaction. Is this Normal? I would like to propogate these gorgeous plants but not if this is the result.
