I would love to propagate my perennial ice plant. Does anyone have any tips for someone new to propagation?

Ice plant is easy to propagate.

Just take cuttings about 4" long, with some leaves on each cutting. Make a clean cut about 1/4" from the bottom node, dip into some hormone powder (or not, and stick into some medium of your choice.

I have had ice plant root just laying on the ground.

Good Luck!

Here's how easily they root....I did 24 cuttings (mine were shorter than 4") in a 50/50 (perlite and peat) mix out on the back patio, which sits in the full sunlight most of the day. 7 days later, they were firmly rooted!

No rooting hormone, no cover, no misting....just once a day watering.
