Quicker way of propagating a tomato cutting?

Hello, when I was moving branches of my tomato plant to stay in it's cage, I accidently broke off a 6 inch branch. The plant is large enough that this probably won't hamper it but I remember putting a broken branch last year into a cup of water and roots grew out of it. I'm hoping I can get this one to do the same but I was wondering if I could speed up the process by adding nutrients to the water. The sooner the branch has roots the better chance I can get some fruit from it by the end of the growing season.
