paw paw question

HELP!!! I have a paw paw sprout (about 2 ft) that was sprouting nicely. Then the nest day all the leaves were gone! A fat cutting worm cute every leaf off & now its been 2 weeks & nothing, no more shoots :( I know the tree is still alive is there anything I can do to save my tree? Maybe take a hardwood cutting from it ...anything????? Thanks!

will take TIME for new leaf buds to form keep the faith & keep watering.....
