Pomegranates rooted from spring cuttings

Cheapwillie

During the first week of May, I took 8 cuttings of new growth (approx. 1/8 inch dia.) from an unknown variety of pomegranate, trimmed them to roughly 5" length, then pinched out the immature tip and left 3-4 fully developed leaves at the top. The bottom 1 1/2 inches of the finished cutting was then dipped in water and coated with .10% rooting hormone, stuck in course potting soil (in 4 inch rose pots), then placed inside a white 5 gallon bucket with the top covered in clear plastic. 100% of the plants rooted in 5-6 weeks.
