Can You Root Limelight Hydrangea from Leaves

Someone was nice enough to give me 2 Limelight Hydrangea cuttings. Because I only got 2 cuttings, I am trying to increase my odds by attempting to root the leaves I stripped off as well. Just wondering what my chance of success is with that.

I have never heard of anyone successfully propagating Hydrangea from a single leaf, though it is possible with some plants, mainly succulents and gesneriads. The usual method is from an entire stem tip.

I have two stem tips and I'm trying to root 7 leaves. I completely believe you that it can't be done, but I already stuck them so I'll just leave them for now. If any survive I'll report back.
