| A beautiful columbine plant is growing in dappled shade on our wooded property. Can I collect seeds? If so, what is the best way to proceed? I've only collected seed from marigold before this. |

| YES. Watch for the seed heads to go from dark green to pale green. At that point watch the seed heads closely, as soon as they start to open at the tips, start collecting your seed. They should be tiny shiny black bead like seeds. I believe they need to be cold stratified. They are not hard to start. Check out the winter sowing forum for lots of good information. Have fun! |
