I'm not 100% sure, but I think it will be almost impossible to root that branch. The only way I've been able to root these is with the branch still attached to the tree via air layering. This works every single time. You can try potting it up, but you'll have to mist it and keep the humidity up. You'll need some good rooting powder or gel.
