Your question caused me to be curious myself, since I haven't ever done propagation using basil cuttings. Found an interesting web site with a video showing how to do basal cuttings. Looks simple enough, which usually means trouble for me :~).

Thank you for the link. The problem is from what i see the gerberas are made only of leaves. I dont know where is the stem and where to cut. I've tried cutting some leaves at the twiggy brownish part and dipping in hormone but i don't know if they've rooted. Some have dried while others seem unchanged.
