Time to root?

What length of time can you expect for roots to develop on Yew new growth/woody base cuttings (believe the variety is dense yew; the common type used as a bush) in a prop chamber with powder rooting hormone and kept moist?

Same question but for English Ivy. I think I spied a tiny root on it and its been about two weeks.

Ivy takes 14-50 days to root
Yew takes 30-150 days

Don't keep removing the cuttings to inspect for roots. Wait until the plant resists pulling with the tiniest of tugs. And then some.
