Rooting Tomato Suckers?

I was wondering if you can root tomato suckers in water, specifically cherry tomatoes. I read somewhere that you could propagate the suckers and bring them in for the winter and have fresh tomatoes. Is this true?

Yes, just keep them in shade until they have roots again. Spraying the foliage with water several times per day helps to prevent wilt.

I have NEVER seen indoor tomatoes that dont get bugs tho, Id give them a really good hard spray with a hose before bringing them in, to hopefully blast off any nasty buggers! good luck!

I missed the part about bringing them in. Yes, it's true...if you can provide enough light to keep them happy. If you want them to set more fruit, you will have to use an artist's brush to go from one blossom to the other and dab pollen. Some say you can just tap the plant lightly to make pollen fall.
