air layering winterberry

I'd like to propagate my winterberry tree. When is the best time to take a cutting?

What type of cutting should I take?

Also, I am attempting to air layer 2 of my pepper plants.
Any idea what a reasonable time frame for roots?

thanks in advance. :o)

^Take cuttings of 2-4 inch firm new growth. (may also use hardwood cuttings taken in the fall) apply 0.3% IBA (rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist takes 40-80 days to root.
As for peppers why try they are so easy to grow from seed & will produce fruit as fast...

I have an old false aralia that has gotten extremely "leggy" Can I take a cutting or air layer it to make it a more compact plant?
