take a tip cutting (4-6 inches long) of firm new growth.. remove all but a single leaf at the tip. Apply 0.1% IBA (Rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist

This forum is more science than art there are not many ways to root a specific cutting just 1 or at most 2 so when one answers the others agree & do not commet. I have experience with Oleanders so answered the people in the temperate zone do not/may not propagate this plant.

In my experience you can just take your cuttings (not too woody of course) and stick them in a glass of water and situate somewhere warm and bright but not exposed to full sun. They should root like wildfire.

I'd just to add that if you take cutting at the end of summer and put them in old brown or dark green beer bottles, with some water, they root very easily. Alternatively, if you get high enough rainfall or else don't mind watering, just stick cuttings with all the lower leaves stripped off directly into garden soil and don't allow to dry out. They should root.

I've had cutting in cups of water that I change everyday for about a month now and still no roots are forming. However, nothing is dying so I guess I'll have to wait a little longer. Thanks again for your responses...

I have over 150 Oleanders and if I cut a bouquet for a nice vase they usually root right in the vase. However If I want to propagate new plants I would follow george's advice. Al
