I took a cutting off my snake plant at least a month ago. The appearence is the same as the day I stuck it in the dirt. Is there any way to tell if it is working and if not, how long does it take to notice changes and new growth?

if you're looking for new growth, it can take a while. it's going to want to put down roots first. have you checked it for roots? give it a gentle pull, if it pops right out, then it's not ready, but if there's resistance then it's working on rooting and give it some time.
