Hi everyone,
A few months ago I rescued a nearly dead Maranta plant from my local garden centre in the 'reduced' area. After some tlc, I have managed to get it nice and healthy and it seems to be thriving extremely well now.
About a month ago, I noticed these weird looking shoots coming from one of the end of the plant stems. I have since fould out that these are called 'basal shoots' and you can propagate from them.
I don't know how to propagate them, so I wondered if anyone could shed any light on how you do this?
Also, if I just left these basal shoots alone, do they start to produce a new shoot of leaves?
Thanks very much. Hope you can help!
