What's the best way to make cuttings from rose of sharon? I know they seed themselves easily enough, but my mom wants a cutting from one of my grandma's plants(she died recently), because they were grown from cuttings from my great grandpa's plants also.

Also, could it be possible to just dig up the plants and move them ? Or would that be a really hard task.

take a cutting of firm new growth. apply 0.1% IBA (rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil & mist taking 25-50 days to root
