Do we just love these science projects?!

I'd build a sun shade for it, remulch the soil around the top of it, so the nutrients perculate down as you water it. Then continue to water it and maybe add some Nitrogen Rich plant food.

However, if it truly looks 'deseased' by some parasite or other, dig it up and get rid of it.

I was able to increase the shade about two hours each day and make other environmental improvements as suggested by bearstate above. New sickly leaves continued to emerge. Three tiny pink flowers produced white fruit that looks like small cultured pearls.

How does one start to search for the identity of a an unknown woody perennial with sickly round leaves about the size and shape of a fingerprint and tiny pink flowers and white fruit that looks like small cultured pearls?

Can you post a picture of it? I am sure many would recognize it. I would also do a search on perennials in your state just in case its a native that has the wrong home.

I'm curious too, why don't yuo post a picture? We also just bought a new house with lots of dead looking plants. I started watering them about 3 wks ago and now everytime I look I recognize a new plant!

I have a Bird of Paradise that I bought in Az this past Aug.. Do you think I could take a cutting and grow it? I put a bucket over it to keep the frost off tonight..

Pretty simple. I don't have a camera.

Further complicated by it being 40 miles to the nearest place that might sell a camera.

White berries and leaves look a lot like the image at the link below. (Imagine no red berries and you've a picture of my curious plant.) BTW, we have had a freeze and the white berries are still there.
