| I have several giant white parasol mandevillas, and I'd like to know if I can root cuttings from it, in plain water? Has anyone tried this? I had accidentally discovered that my datura cuttings do root in water. They even bloom! I have not had sucess trying a rooting medium. Hmmm. |

| The rooting hormone will speed up the rooting process... with a 0.1-0.3% IBA the rooting of mandevilla cuttings take 20-70 daysto root in soil......to root in water expect the process to take 3 months or more to root & many of the cuttings will rot if left in water that long. |
