I have two questions -- I've never been successful at getting cuttings to take root. Any advice where I can read up general information - how long it should take - how / what to cut .... (mostly shrubs / woody plants).

Also -- I have some pachasandra plants and want to propogate and get alot more of them. Any advise (very specific) appreciated.

RE: Pachasandra

There are MANY books on propagation techniques & propagation using cuttings is explained in almost all books on this subject. as for pachasandra ... take cuttings leaving 2 inches of stem & a leaf. apply 0.1 to 0.3% IBA Rooting hormone) stick in well drained soil (with leaf touching the soil)& mist... takes 5 weeks to form roots. also propagated by division & seed.
