Old apple tree seeds

I have an old apple tree. It looks like it would have been about 20 feet tall. I say it would have been, because two years of ice storms and freak downdraft have laid the trunk parallel to the ground, killed one of a pair but the other one still produces. Go figure.

Anyway, the trunk on the one left is 18 inches plus across. It is not grafted, so would the seeds from the apples grow into trees of the same type? The apples are green with about 3/4 turning red and are a cooking apple as they are a bit tart.

Thanks, Cheri
