| I want to use tip layering method on weigela and dogwood.
Is this a good time or should I wait until september. Also if root hormone will be necessary for this method. Thanks, -lg |

| The sooner the better. Layering requires time for roots to form, much longer than from cuttings for the plants you are working with. Al |

| you can do layering any time just make sure you water it more often. Hormone may be necessary if you want to root cuttings. As Al mentioned - rooting weigela from cutting is much easier and faster to root. |
