Kilmarnock Willow cuttings - no grafting?

Hi there, we have a Kilmarnock Willow out the back of our house and have just trimmed it up nicely for the Spring. I decided to save the cuttings since they root so easily - I am wondering what the cuttings will grow like without being grafted onto another rootstock like the mother tree. Would they have a more aggressive root system? I imagine it would grow into a bush or shrub without the trunk. If anybody knows anything about this subject please let me know. Thanks in advance.
