Using upturned fish tanks as mini glasshouses

Hi.

Currently I am using upturned fish tanks, plastic bags and perspex covered containers as mini glasshouses. I've been asking around and people are saying they need fresh air constantly. So I elevated the fish tank about a centimeter off the table. Now because their is room for air and gases and moisture to escape, their is no where near as much moisture and condensation as their was. You cant notice any water on the glass like you could before.

I'm wondering if the cuttings need constant fresh air, or just me opening the tank once a day letting new air in.

Also, the cuttings are outside, and it gets to around 12 degrees celcius at night, they are sheltered under the fish tank, but is 12 degrees celcius to cold for them? Its probably around 15 degrees celcius under the fish tanks.
